The questions we actually get

Straight answers, including the awkward ones.

If your question isn't here, ring us and ask it. We'd rather answer it on the phone in ninety seconds than have you wonder about it for a fortnight.

Before you buy

I already have a Facebook page. Isn't that enough?

It's enough to be found by people who already know your name. It isn't enough for the person typing "emergency plumber Rowville" into Google at 11pm, because Facebook pages don't appear in the Google map pack and don't rank for suburb searches.

You also don't own it. One policy change and the page you spent six years building is gone, along with the messages in it. Keep the Facebook page — it just isn't the thing that brings you new work.

I'm not tech-savvy. Will I have to learn something?

No. You send photos from your phone and answer questions on a call. After that you don't log into anything.

The monthly lead summary is one page you can read at the traffic lights. If you want something changed on the site, you text us and we do it.

What's the difference between you and a $399 website?

A $399 site is a template with your logo dropped in and no tracking on it, so you'll never know whether it works — which is convenient for whoever sold it to you.

At $1,200 you get pages written around the jobs you actually want, a quote calculator that filters tyre-kickers, your Google Business Profile set up properly, a call tracking number installed from day one, and missed-call text-back live from launch. The difference isn't how it looks. It's whether anything happens after the phone rings.

If $1,200 is genuinely out of reach right now, buy the $399 one. Seriously. Just get your Google Business Profile sorted first, because that's free and it matters more.

Do I need to be on the top tier to get value out of this?

No, and we'll tell you when a tier isn't worth it for you. If you're taking five calls a week, the AI Front Desk is a waste of $597 a month and we'll say so on the call.

Most clients sit on the build plus Site Care for the first few months and move up when they're getting more enquiries than there are hours in the evening to chase.

Money

Why is there a monthly fee? I just want a website.

Because a website nobody maintains breaks, and a website with nothing behind it collects enquiries you're too busy to answer.

The $100 a month covers hosting, SSL, daily backups, security updates, uptime monitoring, the call tracking number, and missed-call text-back. That last one is what earns it back — one recovered job a year covers the whole twelve months.

If you genuinely want the site with nothing behind it, we build it as a standalone for $3,500 and hand over the files. The pricing page explains why that number is what it is.

Are there any costs you haven't listed?

Your domain name, which is roughly $20–$40 a year paid straight to the registrar in your name. That's it from us.

Not included, and quoted separately if you want them: paid advertising spend, professional photography, logo design, and copywriting beyond your site pages. Full list on the pricing page.

Do you take payment up front?

$600 when you sign, $600 when the site goes live. On the usual $1,200 build. We build the whole thing on the first $600 — you look at the finished site before the second half is due.

Your monthly plan starts on go-live too, billed in advance from there. The first $600 covers work we've already done by the time you see the site, so it isn't refundable once we've presented it to you — that's set out in clause 5 of the service agreement, in plain English, before you sign anything.

Is there a discount for paying yearly?

10% off any monthly tier if you prepay twelve months. Site Care becomes $1,080 a year instead of $1,200, Lead Engine $3,207.60 instead of $3,564, AI Front Desk $6,447.60 instead of $7,164. No GST is charged on any of these.

You still get the same 30-day cancellation, and we refund the unused months.

The build

How long does it take?

Live in 14 days from the day we have everything we need — your job photos, your licence and insurance details, and the list of suburbs you'll drive to. The 30 minute kickoff call is day one.

That handover is the one part we can't do for you, and it's what decides whether we hit 14 days, so it's the one thing we'll chase you on. It's about an hour of your time in total. If we're waiting on you, the clock waits too — we're not going to hold you to a deadline you couldn't control, and we'd rather tell you that up front than argue about it in week three.

What do you need from me?

Photos from real jobs off your phone — before and afters if you've got them, finished work if you haven't. Your licence and insurance details. A list of the suburbs you'll actually drive to. And thirty minutes on a call.

You don't need to write anything. We write the copy and you approve it.

What if I don't like it?

Two rounds of revisions are included in the build price, which is enough for every job we've done. Changes after sign-off are $110/hour, quoted before we start so you're never surprised.

"I don't like the colour" is a revision. "I've decided I want an online store" is a new quote — we'll tell you which one it is honestly.

Can I host it myself?

Yes, with the $3,500 standalone build. You get the files and the domain and you host it wherever you like.

What you don't get is the call tracking number, missed-call text-back, uptime monitoring, backups or our support — those run on our systems and they're the whole reason the monthly tier exists.

Getting found

Do you do SEO?

We do the local SEO that decides whether a trade business gets found: Google Business Profile set up properly, a page per service, a page per suburb you actually drive to, correct site structure and schema markup, and a system that turns finished jobs into Google reviews.

We don't sell a monthly SEO retainer with a rankings report attached. For a local trade, reviews and your Google Business Profile move the needle more than anything a content plan will do, and Lead Engine handles the reviews automatically.

Do you work outside Melbourne?

Yes, Victoria-wide. Most of our clients are in south-east Melbourne — Knox, Monash, Kingston, Greater Dandenong, Frankston, the Peninsula — because that's where we are.

Regional builds run the same way. The kickoff is a video call instead of a driveway chat and the 14 day timeline doesn't change.

How long until I see more work?

Missed-call text-back starts recovering jobs the day the site goes live, because it works on calls you're already getting.

Search rankings take longer. Google Business Profile changes usually show within weeks; ranking for suburb searches builds over months and depends heavily on your review count, which is exactly why Lead Engine exists. We're not going to give you a number here, because anyone who does is guessing.

The fine print

What if I want to leave?

Thirty days' written notice, no exit fee, no minimum term.

Ask and we'll hand you a complete export of your website files and database within 14 days, free, so another provider can pick it up. Your domain was already in your name and your account, so there's nothing to hand over there. We keep your site online for 30 days after the plan ends, then it comes down.

The automation and the tracking number switch off, because those run on our systems. If you want to keep the tracking number we'll port it to you at cost. We'll tell you exactly what stops working before you go, not after — it's all in clause 8.

Who owns the website and the domain?

You do. Domain registered in your name and your account, not ours. Your Google Business Profile lists you as owner and us as manager, not the other way around. Your reviews, your content and your customer list are yours.

On full payment of the build fee we transfer you every right we hold in the design and content we made for you. One honest caveat: we build with AI-assisted tooling and reusable frameworks, so parts of any site built that way may not attract copyright protection in anyone's hands — ours or yours — and we won't pretend otherwise. We also keep reusing our own underlying templates and code on other projects. We never reuse your branding, copy, photos or business information. Clause 9 spells it out.

Some agencies register the domain in their own name and use it as leverage. We think that's a rort.

Is the AI going to sound like a robot to my customers?

Callers are told up front that they're speaking to an automated assistant. That's a legal requirement and it's also what stops people feeling tricked when they work it out.

It answers questions about your services, prices and service area, books the job into your calendar, and puts anything you've defined as an emergency straight through to your mobile. You set those rules, not us. Calls are recorded and transcribed — see our privacy policy for how that's handled.

Do you work with my competitor down the road?

Ask us on the call and we'll tell you straight who else we're working with in your trade and your patch. You'll get a real answer, not a dodge.

What we won't do is promise you an exclusive territory. Any agency that does is either turning away good work or quietly breaking the promise later, and you'd have no way of knowing which. We'd rather you decide with the actual facts in front of you.
