The ladder, rung by rung

Build it. Keep it alive. Then make it chase.

Four things you can buy from us. They're designed to be climbed in order, because each one only pays off once the one below it is working.

Rung 01 · One-off

The website build

Usually $1,200, one-off — $600 to start and $600 when it goes live. Live in 14 days from the day you hand over your photos and details.

Who it's for

A trade business with no site, or one built in 2016 that nobody can find on a phone. If you're getting all your work from word of mouth and it's drying up, this is the rung you're on.

What it fixes

Right now, when someone searches your trade and your suburb, you don't come up — or you come up and the site loses them. This puts you in front of people at the exact moment they've decided to spend money.

What's in it

  • 5–8 pages — one per service you actually want to sell, written around search terms people use, not industry jargon.
  • Quote calculator — visitors get a ballpark before they call, so the calls you get are from people who've already accepted the price bracket.
  • Google Business Profile setup — claimed, categorised, service areas set, photos loaded. This is what gets you into the map pack, which is where most local jobs are won.
  • Call tracking number installed — a real number that forwards to your mobile, so within a month you can see exactly how many jobs the site produced.
  • Two revision rounds — included. Changes after sign-off are $110/hour, quoted before we start.
  • Paid in two halves — $600 locks your build slot, $600 on go-live. You see the site before the second half is due.
  • Mobile-first build — because your customers are standing in a flooded laundry holding a phone.

Every build includes Site Care. See below for why, and for what it costs if you insist on going without.

Read this before you ask

Site Care comes with every build. That isn't upselling — it's how the thing works.

A site with no hosting, no backups, no security patching and no missed-call recovery is a brochure that will break within a year and won't tell you when it does. We're not interested in building those, because when it breaks the customer blames us.

If you want the site with nothing behind it, the price is $3,500. You get the files, the design, the copy, and our sincere best wishes. We hand it over and we're done. Almost nobody chooses this once they've compared $3,500 up front against $1,200 plus $100 a month — and that's before you count the jobs the text-back saves.

Rung 02 · From launch day

Site Care

$100 per month. Included with every build. 10% off if you prepay the year.

Who it's for

Everybody we build for. There is no version of this where you skip it and we still stand behind the site.

What it fixes

Two problems at once. The boring one: sites break, get hacked, and expire. The expensive one: you can't answer the phone when you're on the tools, and the person calling doesn't leave a voicemail — they just ring the next mob. Missed-call text-back closes that gap without you doing anything.

Within sixty seconds of a call you couldn't take, they get a text: your name, an apology, and a question about the job. Most people reply. Now it's a conversation on your terms, in your smoko break, instead of a lost job you never knew about.

What's in it

  • Missed-call text-back — the call you didn't take turns into a text conversation instead of a lost job.
  • Hosting and SSL — fast Australian hosting, certificate renewed automatically, no "not secure" warning scaring people off.
  • Daily backups — so a bad update is a fifteen minute fix, not a rebuild.
  • Security updates — patched before the exploit reaches you, not after.
  • Uptime monitoring — we get the alert at 3am so your customer doesn't find it at 9am.
  • Call tracking maintained — every call logged and attributed, so the site's value stops being a guess.
  • Monthly lead summary — one page: calls in, forms in, where they came from, which ones you missed.

30 days' notice to cancel. No exit fee. Site files and domain stay in your name.

Rung 03 · Month 2 onward

Lead Engine

$297 per month. Everything in Site Care, plus the follow-up.

Who it's for

You're now getting enquiries and you know some of them are dying. You quote at night, you forget to follow up, and you've got a hundred happy customers and eleven reviews. This is the rung where the site stops being a cost and starts compounding.

What it fixes

The gap between "they enquired" and "they booked someone else". Whoever replies first usually wins the job — not because they're better, because the customer stops looking. Lead Engine replies in seconds, then keeps chasing on a schedule you'd never keep by hand.

It also fixes the review problem permanently. Asking a customer for a review a fortnight later doesn't work. Asking them the hour the job's done does. That's a job for software, not for you at 8pm.

What's in it

  • Speed-to-lead instant replies — form comes in, they get a real answer before they've opened the next tab.
  • Quote-chase sequences — follows up at day 2, day 5 and day 12 by text and email. You do nothing. Quotes that would have gone quiet come back.
  • Automated review requests — fires when the job is marked done, while they still remember you fondly. This is how you close a 2-versus-87 review gap.
  • CRM pipeline — every job visible between "enquired" and "invoiced", so nothing falls through the ute floor.
  • Online booking calendar — they pick a slot that suits both of you and stop ringing you at 4:50pm.
  • All of Site Care — hosting, backups, tracking, missed-call text-back, monthly summary.

Rung 04 · When call volume justifies it

AI Front Desk

$597 per month, plus a one-off $500 setup. Everything below it, plus a phone that always gets answered.

Who it's for

You're taking enough calls that missing them costs real money, and you're not ready to put a person on the phones at $60,000 a year. If you're doing five calls a week, don't buy this. We'll tell you.

What it fixes

The phone gets answered at 9pm on a Sunday and the job gets booked into your calendar. You find out about it over breakfast, from a transcript, with the address and the problem already written down. Nothing rings out. Nothing goes to voicemail.

The mechanism is a voice agent trained on your services, your prices, your service area and your rules about what counts as an emergency. It qualifies the job the way you would, books it against your real availability, and puts anything genuinely urgent straight through to your mobile.

What's in it

  • Calls answered 24/7 — including the after-hours ones you currently lose entirely.
  • Jobs booked into your calendar — against your real availability, not a wish list.
  • SMS and web chat — same qualifying, same booking, on whichever channel they picked.
  • Transcripts into your CRM — you can read exactly what was said and what was promised on your behalf.
  • Escalation rules you set — burst main at midnight comes to you; a quote for a new switchboard waits until Monday.
  • All of Lead Engine and Site Care — the follow-up, the reviews, the pipeline, the hosting.

Callers are told they're speaking to an automated assistant, and calls are recorded. That's a legal requirement in Victoria and it's in our privacy policy — we set it up correctly or we don't set it up.

Everything else

Fix-ups and changes: $110/hour

New service page, price update, a photo gallery from a big job, a change to the quote calculator. Quoted before we start, billed at what it takes, never rolled into a vague monthly retainer where you can't tell what you paid for.

We keep this separate on purpose. Bundling ad-hoc work into a subscription is how agencies quietly stop doing it.

Pay yearly

10% off any monthly tier if you prepay 12 months

Site Care drops from $1,200 to $1,080 a year. Lead Engine from $3,564 to $3,207.60. AI Front Desk from $7,164 to $6,447.60. Same 30-day cancellation — we refund the unused months.

No GST is charged on any of these figures — Offsider Agency is not currently registered for GST, so the price you see is the price you pay.
